Emily Farrell- Piano, Bass, Ukelele, and Guitar
Emily is a bassist who plays many genres such as Funk, Blues, R&B, and Pop/Rock. Her love for music started at a young age. She has played bass for several years and is currently performing in the bands Urban Rumour and Black & Gold. Emily has enjoyed working at Mrs A's and seeing students reach new milestones in their performance.
Jack Bubb- Vocals, Piano, Guitar, and Drums
Dasol Jeong- Violin, Piano, and Guitar
Dasol is a musician who has an extensive background in various genres of music including classical, pop, rock, jazz and more. After starting on the piano at the age of 6, he went on to learn a variety of different instruments while broadening his musical knowledge.
He has played in award-winning bands, orchestras, and chamber groups, and enjoys leading his students towards their goals with engaging methods that suit each individual.
Maria Flores- Guitar, Drum, Piano, and Vocals
Maria Flores is a Contemporary/Jazz vocalist who recently returned from a residency in Hong Kong. She now resides in Christchurch providing live performances in various venues, weddings and corporate events. Maria also performs a versatile form of acts such as; solo, duo, trio, jazz quartet to full band.
In the early stages of her career, Maria’s love for music and performance began when she trained for 2 years in Theatre with the HKYAF (Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation) under musical director Scott Gibson’s guidance. She performed as part of an ensemble for “Sweeney Todd 2009”, “RENT 2010” and eventually got cast for a devised theatre piece “Story of a girl 2011″.
Maria is currently enrolled in ARA Institute of Canterbury for a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Arts and has taken up a major as a Jazz vocalist. Currently, she has now shifted to ARA’s Contemporary stream program. She is seen around Christchurch performing for various venues, private and corporate events. Maria currently performs a wide range of Jazz and Pop classics and modern arrangements as a duo act with locally known musicians such as James Caughley, and is currently performing regularly with locally known band House of Groove.
Outside of this, she is currently enjoying sharing her knowledge to students at Mrs A's providing a fun and engaging experience in learning music and sharing the joys of it
Sarah Judd- Piano and Vocals
Sarah is a classically trained Singer and Pianist who has been studying music for the last 13 years of her life. Within this journey, Sarah has earnt her ATCL with Merit for Singing, Grade 8 TCL for Piano, and Grade 5 ABRSM Theory.
Sarah has lived in Palmerston North her entire life and began teaching Singing and Musical Theatre two years ago. In 2021, Sarah has moved to Christchurch to continue her musical studies at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts (NASDA).
With a love for all genres of music, Sarah is excited to share her knowledge and passion for music with you!
Megoe Chen- Piano
Megoe studied music at the University of Canterbury, majoring in piano performance.
She started playing the piano when she was five years old, and the violin and recorder from the age of eight. While learning the piano, she was introduced to the National Guild of Piano Teachers (American College of Musicians) system, and the Suzuki system while learning the violin.
She is confident in my musicianship and has gained a lot of experience from her studies and performances, working with many different groups and people.
She mainly teaches piano/music theory and basic violin/recorder techniques. Although classically trained, she also has experience playing contemporary, pop and jazz music.
